|Torquay’s Elmdene Hotel is garlanded with awards and recommendations.Its bed and breakfast experience is 5 Star rated by Visit Britain and it has won a silver award in Visit Devon’s Best Guest House awards. On TripAdvisor it gets five star reviews from customers for every category from sleep quality to value and earlier this year it was named as one the best in the UK for customer service in the website’s Travellers’ Choice Hotels With Exceptional Service awards. Individual reviews range from “fabulous” to “faultless”.But even so owners David & Tracy have just discovered a new category for recommendation… Best Eggs at Breakfast. One of their delighted guests was so impressed by the taste and freshness of his breakfast egg that he just had to find out where he could find a regular supply near his home. So having found Exe Valley Eggs on the hotel’s list of carefully selected local food producers he contacted us. Barry from Newton Abbott said: “Your eggs are amazing. The one I had for breakfast at the Elmdene tasted how eggs used to taste.”
Back at the Elmdene David said: “We spent a long time on ensuring that all the local products we buy in are the finest quality and freshness. Exe Valley Eggs were recommended to us and we decided to try them. The sample eggs we had were so good we actually wondered whether a regular supply could possibly maintain that level of quality. Well it does.
